I'm Officially Open for Business to Help Artists Everywhere!
Hello, firebirds! In case you happen upon this post and have no idea who I am and haven't read my bio in the About page of this website, my name is Alexia Rowe. I'm a playwright, songwriter, singer, guitarist, entrepreneur, artist, creative, guitarist, bohemian, daughter, sister, friend...the list can go on. But to put it simply, I write stuff. I compose stuff. I listen to a lot of stuff. I watch a lot of stuff. I even sing a little bit. And I've been nominated for a bunch of awards for it, including a regional one from BroadwayWorld.
But this post is not about what I've achieved. It's about how I can use all that experience and creativity to help you. Because if you're an independent artist, theatre company, or underground performance venue of some sort, I'm open for business with a couple things that could help you break out of the 9 to 5 grind and grant you the freedom to live an artistic life without creating according to someone else's specifications. I'll offer my assistance to help you develop your own creative project.
So here's a break down of all that I have to offer!
Gearing Up for Grants Package
I have an e-book on grant funding specifically for creatives that you can purchase for $7 here already, since applying for basically free money for your creative projects is something every artist needs to build into their practice. I outline every step from finalizing what your project is all about to your budget, goals, and even all the tax stuff after you've received your money. Basically, you will start to shift your starving artist mentality and learn about a new income source.
But if you need some further help finding grants to apply to for your specific project, or you need some extra eyes to proofread at your application, or you're looking for a grant writer in general, I present the Gearing Up for Grants Package. You can book a consultation with me to assess exactly what you're looking from as little as $150. The value of the grant writer is typically upwards of $63,000, so if you work with me, you're getting a steal. Because if I can secure thousands of dollars in grant funding while still a college student, you can too.

Scripts and Scores Package
As part of my artistic mission, I use my art to tell the stories that long to be known. Writing in general is my jam, though this specific package focuses on my scriptwriting expertise. As you can see in my Projects page here, I've written a variety of plays from ten-minute ones to co-writing full-length musicals. So if you need help writing your story and all its technical details from plot line to climax, I present to you the Scripts and Scores Package. As an added bonus, if you discovered an interesting story from history (similar to how I did with This is Not a Bill), you can book me for a Hidden Histories® consultation where we can learn how to use our art to educate our audience about the unknown stories out there.
And after the script is written, it should obviously be performed (and more than once)! You'll need to raise money for the production (see the grants package above) and build the audience so that people keep coming to see your show again and again. I got my playwright debut produced while still in college to numerous awards, so I'm here to remove any mental roadblocks and change the way you look at being in live theatre. You can be in the arts!

Songwriting Songbird Package
Since I love musicals and have co-written some, it seems appropriate that I offer my music services as well. I have a bunch of music releases on my Music page here and covers on Instagram and YouTube (links below) in the alternative/indie folk genres, and playlists to give you an idea of what inspires me can found on Spotify here. As a third-culture kid, my music is a reflection of all the worlds I have lived in and the truth of the world we live in. There are a variety of ways we can work together: if you just need vocals for one song, a theme song, some sheet music, or you're a librettist looking for a composer to work on a musical together, let me take the musical guesswork out of the equation for you and bring life to your music. Hopefully my eclectic background will inspire you to embrace your own quirks during your creative journey as an artist.

Stay in the Story Package
Subject to availability, you can hire me to speak at your event! School systems everywhere (we could take some pointers from Finland) tend to champion STEM and business fields over creative ones, due to the limiting belief that it doesn't make as much money. And then some of these students carry those same beliefs into adulthood, living a life that struggles to be creatively fulfilling. With all the wealth of knowledge I've gathered in my nearly ten years working as a creative (and all the mental roadblocks I've had to eliminate from myself), I'm inspired to educate and motivate the next generation to start living out their artistic calling. Besides motivational speaking, my topics include self-production in theatre, musical theatre, making money as a creative, folk music, and the reasons why theatre and music exist.

Soprano Serenade dal Segno Package
Subject to availability, book me for a show today! Similar to my Stay in the Story Package above, I can craft something known as a keynote concert where I weave songs into my speaking. Or if you prefer that I just sing, that's great too! My original songs and song setlist are an eclectic blend of pop, indie and musical theatre, accompanied by a guitar in the alternative/indie folk sensibility. Let me tell you my story through music with the aid of a guitar and a raspy operatic soprano voice, and inspire you to lean back in to your own creative calling.
Something else I also have is The Unique Voices Club, which is currently video content and weekly blog posts here promoting the unique singing voices of indie artists not commonly heard on mainstream radio.
